Two rather surprising facts from our most recent reading. First, if you want to humiliate someone, Old Testament style, what you need to do is shave off half their beards and cut their clothes at the buttocks. I mean, who wouldn't be humiliated by something like that? (2 Sam. 10:4)
Second, if you thought your hat was heavy, consider the plight of the ex-king of Rabbah, whose crown weighed a talent of gold. That's about 75 pounds. Yes, a 75-pound gold crown, that David took for himself. You have to wondering whether Rabbah's king, or David for that matter, ever actually wore the thing, or whether they just kept it as decoration. On today's royal exercise regimen: neck extensions! (2 Sam. 12:30)

Where did you go? Working on your neck extensions?
Hi AA,
Work has, yet again, gotten hectic. In all honesty, though, Daily Breadcrumbs has just become quite tedious for me. I really thought I'd continue this time, but it just wasn't working out.
If you like, you're welcome to take up the torch. I'd be happy to read it.
I think the problem might be that you're going in order. There are plenty of hilarious things in the Bible to write about. You should try skipping around some before you give up. You can always come back later and fill in the gaps!
Possibly. I may give it a shot a little later. For now, I think I'll just let the hiatus stand.
Thanks for checking in on me!
Julie,
Read your comments on Write to Done. Where do people become followers of your site? I don't see the followers space. Maybe it's a design that makes it hard to have followers.
But if this is now tedious for you, you need a fresh idea. I'm doing the same thing for my site. www.moxiemom.com. Follow me and I'll follow your new site too!
